Lynne has been working with paint, encaustics and material from Drakes Beach. Come and visit the Residency, meet the artist and see her process in person.

On March 18th, local photographer Art Rogers visited the J.B. Blunk Residency and took a portrait of artists Max Lamb, Gemma Holt, J.B.'s son Rufus Blunk and Residency Director Mariah Nielson.

The portrait was part of Art's 33 year old photo series, 'The Point Reyes Family Album', which is included in the Point Reyes Light every week. The photo ran in the May 7th issue of the newspaper.

The April issue of 'C' Magazine, California Style, features an article about J.B. Blunk, his house and work and the J.B. Blunk Residency program. The article, 'Point Blunk', was shot by photographer Lisa Eisner and written by journalist Cat Doran, both based in Los Angeles.

The first annual J.B. Blunk Residency Exhibition will close on Sunday, April 19th at Reform Gallery. A closing reception will take place from 4pm to 7pm. All proceeds from the sales of work go directly to support the Residency.

The first annual J.B. Blunk Residency Exhibition took place at Reform Gallery in Los Angeles, Thursday, March 19th. The inaugural exhibit displayed work made and donated by Residency artists of 2008; Nicole Buffett, Cameron Kelly, Jacob Tillman and Michael Cran. The artists were encouraged to expand upon their established art practices, responding to the historic and contemplative qualities of the landscape. There will be a closing show April 19th.

All sales go directly to the Residency program which will continue to support artists and maintain J.B.'s legacy.

The first annual Residency Exhibition will take place Thursday, March 19th at Reform Gallery in Los Angeles. The show will be a fundraiser to benefit the Residency program and will include work made the Residency artists of 2008; Nicole Buffett, Cameron Kelly, Jacob Tillman and Michael Cran.

Artist Michael Cran will be reading from his book 'Gravity and the Arc of Being', a collection of poems that he wrote this past fall during his residency.

The opening is at 6pm, Thursday, March 19th.

Join us for an open studio with Residency artists Max Lamb and Gemma Holt on Friday, February 27th and Saturday, February 28th from 12pm - 5pm at the J.B. Blunk Residency in Inverness, CA.

There will be a tour of the J.B. Blunk Residency and Residency artists Lamb and Holt, who have both been working with local clays, will share and discuss their works in progress.

A light lunch will be served with drinks and coffee.
