Lucid Art Foundation
Lucid Art is defined as the convergence of the universal creative force expressed in a spontaneous work of art that elicits in the viewer a sudden awakening of an aspect of the inner worlds. – Fariba Bogzaran and Gordon Onslow Ford
The Lucid Art Foundation was founded in the fall of 1998 as a California nonprofit public operating foundation 501(c)(3).
The mission of the Lucid Art Foundation is to explore the phenomena of the inner worlds and deep levels of consciousness through visual arts, lectures, artist seminars, exhibitions, publications and by other means.
The Foundation’s vision is to support artists through educational and residential programs; to encourage historical scholarship and preservation through its collections and archives; and to collaborate with museums, schools and other cultural institutions whose direction is in harmony with the mission of the Foundation.
To carry out its mission, the Foundation engages in a variety of activities, including collection management and archiving; hosting quarterly and annual seminars for professional artists and art students; and organizing public lectures by art historians, scholars and artists.
The J.B. Blunk Residency is a program of the Lucid Art Foundation.
